Grown in Fujian Province, China, our Chingwo County Black Tea is full bodied with a pleasant distinctive character.
Makes an excellent breakfast and afternoon tea. The flavor is slightly smokey with a delicious hint of oak cask pungency.
Chingwo County is one of three types of congou teas produced in Fujian Province and one of the highest quality black teas produced anywhere. Also called Mao's Long March Tea, ours was picked during the first few weeks of the season and contains a good portion of golden brown tips which are new shoots. This makes for a rarer and higher graded tea.
Our premium teas can be steeped several times.
