Mei Zhan oolong tea is a cultivar from Anxi. This was grown in the ban yan area of the Dahongpao Scenic Area in Wuyi and processed in the same manner as true Wuyi rock teas.
Grown and harvested by hand in 2018, this Mei Zhan has been medium roasted over lychee charcoal. Lychee charcoal produces no smoke and adds no flavor.
The brew is very smooth with a long lasting aftertaste.

This tea is packaged in thick, bpa-free plastic bags with a reusable zip lock top to keep your tea fresh. One side is black, the other side clear. All bags are heat sealed.
We highly recommend using a gaiwan to get the most out of this tea. Start with a quick rinse at 212F followed by repeated steeps at 212F. An 8-10 second first steep works well.
By the 8oz cup: 1-2 teaspoon of tea (3g). Steep for 3-5 minutes at 212F.
By the gallon: 8-16 teaspoons of tea (25g). Steep for 3-5 minutes at 212F.
